Yes, I love frogs, but do you know why I love frogs? Because I find Rain Forests fascinating and frogs, such as the red eye tree frog (my personal favorite), live in tropical rain forests.

Thursday-Anchorage

Thursday we spent the day in downtown Anchorage until it was time for us to fly out.


As we were walking down the street taking picture Michele got approached by a local tv crew. They wanted to interview her about travelling with all the terrorist stuff going on. Hmmm, I wonder how they knew we were tourists. :)



The blue angels were in town and kept flying overhead:


Anchorage is the ceremonial starting point of the iditarod race (I never really knew before this trip how the iditarod came to be-it is very interesting):


We found the qiviut store (yes, its behind our heads). They had some really neat scarves and things made out of qiviut:

We also saw an interesting garden along the way:

Kelley, I have an entire teaching unit on the Iditerod if you would like to borrow it someday. I did so much research for it! You should totally do it since you have now officially been there!
