Tuesday afternoon-Musk Ox Farm

After our five or so hour glacier hike we went to lunch and then we went to the musk ox farm. The musk ox grows a layer of lighter colored hair called qiviut that is harvested and sent to a co-op of native Alaskan ladies who use it to knit scarves, hats, etc. We stopped at a qiviut store on our last day in Anchorage and the scarves and things they created were really pretty.
