Yes, I love frogs, but do you know why I love frogs? Because I find Rain Forests fascinating and frogs, such as the red eye tree frog (my personal favorite), live in tropical rain forests.

Day 5 (Part 1) - The Needle and the Science Center

Thursday morning we walked downtown and saw the space needle. We didn't actually go up in it because it was pretty expensive. We also saw the pink elephant. Michele and Dave did not like the pink elephant too much because they knew that if you passed it with your car you were doomed to exit the city with no possible way of return for quite a ways. Traffic in Seattle is crazy! Moral of the story...stay away from the pink elephant unless you are planning to leave Seattle.

In that same area there are a number of museums. We decided to try out the science museum. It was a great museum! There were a ton of things to do and it was all hands on. I wish I could take my fourth graders. :) They had a really neat waterworks area in the middle of the complex. In one of the buildings Dave played tic-tac-toe against a robot and won. Michele and I took a little rest on the giant table and chairs.

In one of the buildings they had a tropical butterfly house. You could go in and the butterflies were flying all around you. Michele even had one land on her.
