Yes, I love frogs, but do you know why I love frogs? Because I find Rain Forests fascinating and frogs, such as the red eye tree frog (my personal favorite), live in tropical rain forests.

Day 1 - Travelling

We arrived in Seattle Sunday afternoon and then drove to Port Angeles for the first half of our trip. We stayed at a cute little bed and breakfast where Al and June served great breakfasts! :)

On our way to Port Angeles we took a ferrie across Puget Sound. We had coast guard escorts. Check out the guns on those boats! :)

It was such a clear day that we could see Mt. Ranier really well. I guess alot of times when you go to Seattle you can't see it because of the fog.

So, we left all the craziness of Seattle behind us and headed for Port Angeles.

We got to Port Angeles about 8ish and we checked in to our bed and breakfast and then we hit the town. Or at least the peer. We were in search of some food, so we went to a crab place right on the water. In Port Angeles we were on the Straight of Juan DeFuca. It was a little dark, so my pics didn't turn out too well.

Hmmm...not sure about Africa. I'm pretty traveled out at the moment. :) I actually think Greenville, SC will be one of my next "adventures" if you can call it that. ;)

ksm, i just want to tell you that since your report the other night i have been haunted by vicarious recollections of grilling salmon and shrimp on a beach at twilight. i was slated to visit seattle myself later this month and it didn't work out. now i'm really dying to go.

I would totally recommend Seattle, but if you're going to be out there, you really should try to do some of the nature part of it too. Its so beautiful! :) And of course, salmon on the beach is good too. :)

Gwen, yeah, if I come out I'll definately let you know and we can do ice cream or something. All of my friends seem to be moving out that way. Greenville must be the place to be. :) Have you met Danita and John Ellis? They just moved out there and are going to your church. I was in San Fransisco earlier this summer for their wedding.
