Thursday afternoon in DC

In the afternoon we walked around some of the Smithsonians on the Mall. We had lunch at the Native American Museum. Toward late afternoon the sky became dark and ominous! We headed for the Air and Space Museum, but unfortunately we didn't make it. It began pouring rain and the rain came at us horizontally! It was actually quite funny because you saw this mass of people running for cover and sadly everyone headed right for the Air and Space Museum. So, we did make it in to the museum, but I think half of DC was in there with us. Well, at least half of the "on break middle schooler" population was in there. :)


After the rain let up we went back out to brave the Metro. We headed over to Teaism for a relaxing dinner. I love Michele's faces. :) It about sums up how we were feeling by then. :) On our way to Teaism we walked through Navy square. I think that was what it was called. We found ourselves a nice navy man. Michele tried to convice him to come with us, but he didn't want to move. :)
