Labor Day Weekend
Kevin came home for Labor Day weekend, and once again we headed to Detroit for the International Jazz Festival. This year though, we made a stop on the way at John King Books. Its a used and rare books book store in Detroit, and it is by far the coolest used bookstore I've ever been in. That might have something to do with the fact that I found a book I've been looking for, for years! Sara Crew by Frances Hodgson Burnett. I remember reading it in sixth grade and loving it. Then I watched The Little Princess and found out it was the same story. I didn't realize until I found the book this weekend that she wrote Sara Crewe first and then expanded it into The Little Princess. As you can see, Kevin also found some books to buy.

After our stop at John King Books we headed down to the festival. We went to see Dave Brubeck. He is 87 years old and still playing!

Michele and Dave came with us this year. If you look closely at the picture of Kevin and me you'll see the fox 2 news guy at the mic behind us. :)

Kell,
Looks like fun. Glad to find you again on the blogosphere. (really, one form of internet-friendship is simply not enough!). Heh, heh.
I'm getting a little bit Psycho about book buying right now. I was honestly green with envy about your trip to the rare and used bookstore. It is sort of ridiculous of me!
I'll facebook you with one other little input I have on your assignment. It's too fun thinking of those things. I guess you do have deadlines, though, huh? :)

A couple things:
1) why buy the book when you can watch the movie? :) Just kidding.
2) At what age do your pants start rising above your natural waist?
3) I like your sunglasses. They are way better than the other ones. :)
